Seattle-Tacoma Airport Sea-Tac Black & White

As a test and learn to think more about the setting of a photo, I challenged myself to 1. only take one lens with fixed focal length 2. only take black & white pictures on my last trip to Seattle. With the Canon 50mm f/1.2 you can shoot in even lower light circumstances. The following pictures were made at Seattle Tacoma International airport.

  1. So my first glance is “awesome” but that’s usually the case since I really like many of your photos. I like the first shot but really like the pay phones shot for lighting and symmetry. Would have liked to see more light in the food court shot. Like the “way to gates” shot but for my own photos, I’m critical of the lack of focus on text on signs in foreground. Working on that challenge myself when shooting fixed lens.

  2. Wow, thank you Dr. Mike. This is great feedback.
You are right on the lack of focus of the text of the signs. I took the picture with F/1.2.
Better pay attention to the 3×3 frames and use manual focus.
